Residential Treatment Facilities

  • Cedar Grove – Located in Murfreesboro, TN, Cedar Grove serves sexually reactive and sexually abusive youth who have behavioral and mental health issues. Many of these young people have experienced unsuccessful foster care placements, neglect, sexual abuse, physical abuse and/or abandonment.

  • Bradford Health Services – Bradford has provided adults and adolescents proven treatment for alcohol and drug abuse rehab for more than 30 years.

  • Oak Plains Academy – Oak Plains Academy offers psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents who are struggling with emotional and behavioral issues.

  • Cumberland Hall Hospital – Cumberland Hall offers specialized treatment for youth and adults through acute, sub-acute and residential programs. Treatment is provided by an interdisciplinary team of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health therapists, mental health technicians, nurses, certified drug and alcohol counselors and recreational therapists

  • National Child Trauma Stress Network – The National Child Traumatic Stress Network was established to improve access to care, treatment, and services for traumatized children and adolescents exposed to traumatic events. This section of provides information about the Network itself.

  • Psychology Today – Extremely helpful link. You can read articles, find a counselor and many other services.

  • Stop It Now – We provide support, information and resources to keep children safe and create healthier communities. Since 1992, we have identified, refined and shared effective ways for individuals, families and communities to act to prevent child sexual abuse before children are harmed – and to get help for everyone involved.

  • Developmental Profiling for Children – This is a helpful link if you are concerned about your child’s development. It can be used to assess the developmental age on physical, social, emotional, moral and intellectual levels. It also gives parents helpful suggestion on how to promote healthy development at each stage.
